Here are some of the photos I took while I was out in Houston. All of these pictures were from south of Houston around the Galveston area. These areas got hit the hardest from the hurricane.

Neither of these two homeowners own this boat but this is where it ended up.

Obviously, this travel trailer should be upright and not on laying on its side.

Yep, there is still a boat attached to the mast. It's just underwater.

This is exactly how this homeowner found his car after the storm. It was pushed through his garage and partially buried in the dirt.

After the storm, Galveston residents are begging to get the mandatory evacuation order lifted so they can get back home to see what is left.

Homeowners trying to protect their belongings from looters.

I'll post more in a few days. I didn't post them all here because this post would take forever to load.

This is very sad. Very very sad. I used to live on the coast of NC and these pictures brought back a lot of unpleasant memories. I hope these people are able to return home and back their normal lives soon.

Wow. Even photographing it must have taken a toll.

It's amazing how quickly and easily most of us who aren't in the affected area forget Ike, Katrina, Rita, etc.
