I never had the enjoyment of getting to see that. When I sent my last payment it they closed the loan account. It never showed a zero balance, just disapeared!
Wow congratulations! That must've been a really tough decision. But I'm sure you will be much happier now that you can start saving/investing all the extra $ you were sending to Chase!

Congrats! I got my $13,000 payoff letter from Sallie Mae a few months ago and it's held the place of honor on the fridge ever since.
