    That is FANTASTIC. Can't wait to have my loan paid off, but with my current Debt Snowball, my target date is June 2009. What a celebratory day that will be!

    I never had the enjoyment of getting to see that. When I sent my last payment it they closed the loan account. It never showed a zero balance, just disapeared!

    Congrats! I got my $13,000 payoff letter from Sallie Mae a few months ago and it's held the place of honor on the fridge ever since.
