Hello SingleGuyMoney readers. I apologize again for the lack of posting. In case you missed my post, I'm Leaving on a Jet Plane, I am currently in the Houston, Texas area assessing storm damage. I am on day 11 of a 20 day rotation which means I have worked 11 twelve hour days since September 16th. I've got 9 more long days to go before I head back home to Atlanta. The good news is that I will have five days off once I get back home.

Needless to say, once I get back to my hotel room, my mind is mush and I'd rather not write a post when I can't get my thoughts together properly. Posting will probably continue to be light over the next week or two until I can get home and get some rest. Don't forget, if you have a personal finance related post you'd like to have hosted on SingleGuyMoney, please contact me. I'll be happy to consider it.

I'd be really curious to know how the damages are assessed in case of a natural disaster.

If you could give tips to people on what do to (money wise...) before disasters strike (i.e insurance?) and after, it could be useful!
